Manufacturing IT That Keeps the Floor Running
When a line stalls or a shared drive goes dark, the cost isn't a help-desk ticket — it's idle labor, missed shipments, and a customer who remembers. We keep production uptime high, your files secure, and the intellectual property that is your business protected.
Manufacturing and industrial clients have been the core of CRC Cloud for four decades. We understand shop floors that never stop, office systems that can't leak, and machines that outlive their software.
Where manufacturing IT actually hurts
The failures that cost you money aren't abstract. They're specific, and they're preventable:
| The risk | What it costs you |
|---|---|
| Production downtime | A stalled line burns labor and machine time by the minute and can blow a shipping window a customer won't forgive |
| Intellectual-property theft | Drawings, tooling data, and processes are the business — lose them and a competitor gets a head start you paid for |
| Ransomware on shared files | One encrypted file server can halt the office and the floor at once, with recovery measured in days if backups weren't tested |
| Aging, unpatchable machines | Equipment that outlives its software becomes the soft entry point attackers look for |
| Flat, unsegmented networks | A phished office laptop shouldn't be able to reach production systems — but on a flat network, it can |
| Vendor and ISP finger-pointing | When machine builders, software vendors, and your internet provider all blame each other, the line stays down |
We support PCs, Macs, Linux, virtual machines, and legacy systems under one plan — and we can own the plumbing too, from network & server infrastructure to the business internet your floor depends on.
Attackers know a stopped line forces fast decisions
Ransomware crews target manufacturers because downtime is your pressure point — and the numbers say the risk has moved down-market, to businesses exactly your size.

Uptime you can count on, on infrastructure we own
Most providers resell a slice of someone else's cloud and hope it holds. We host client workloads on hardware we own, in a Southern California datacenter held to published standards with a geo-separate site for replication and recovery. When production depends on a system, accountability ends with us — not a subcontractor's help line.
Our infrastructure runs in a Southern California facility engineered to a concurrently maintainable, Tier III-standard design, whose operator holds SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II attestations, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS certifications and NIST 800-53 (PE) High alignment, with N+1 redundant power and cooling and a 99.9% uptime service level. Seismic protection is built in; the exact location stays confidential by design.

How our plans fit a manufacturer
Two plans, and a hosting decision on top of either one. Secure IT contains Core IT; Cloud Complete adds our private cloud to whichever of the two you pick — $175 on Core IT, $300 on Secure IT. Most manufacturers start at Core IT and move up as compliance or hosting needs grow — for defense suppliers handling controlled unclassified information (CUI), that means CMMC 2.0 and NIST SP 800-171 readiness.

The solutions manufacturers lean on
Every plan is built from the same parts. For manufacturers, these three carry the most weight:
24/7 Monitoring
Round-the-clock watch on servers, endpoints, and network health so most failures are caught and fixed before they ever reach the floor.
Managed IT Services →Private Cloud Hosting
Your servers and shared files on hardware we own, with the reliability of a real datacenter and none of the cost of running your own server room.
Private Cloud →Backup & Disaster Recovery
Encrypted, immutable, tested backups of the files your business depends on — so a ransomware hit is a bad afternoon, not a lost quarter.

FAQ
What does an hour of production downtime actually cost a manufacturer?
More than the IT bill that would have prevented it. When a line stalls or a shared drive goes dark, you lose labor, machine time, and often a shipping window that a customer remembers. Our job is to make those stalls rare: 24/7 monitoring catches most failures before they reach the floor, and tested backups shorten the ones that get through.
Can you protect our designs, CAD files, and proprietary processes?
Yes. Your drawings, tooling data, and process know-how are the business. We protect them with encrypted storage, endpoint detection and response on every managed device, multi-factor authentication, and access controls so files are reachable by the people who need them and no one else. Immutable backup, billed at published rates, means a ransomware event can't hold your IP hostage.
Do you support the office and the shop floor?
Both. Front-office email, accounting, and file shares run alongside the systems your production depends on. We keep the network segmented so a problem on one side doesn't spread to the other, and we manage the firewall, VPN, and connectivity that tie remote sites and traveling staff back to headquarters.
We still run some older machines and software. Is that a problem?
No. Manufacturing runs on equipment that outlives the software vendor. We support PCs, Macs, Linux, virtual machines, and legacy systems under one plan, and we isolate and monitor aging systems that can't be patched so they stay productive without becoming the weak link.
Can our servers and files move to your private cloud?
Yes. With Cloud Complete, your infrastructure runs on hardware we own in a Southern California datacenter held to published standards, with geo-separate replication, with backup at published per-server rates. You get enterprise reliability without buying and babysitting your own server room — and no hyperscaler bill shock.
How much does manufacturing IT cost, and how are we billed?
Published, per-user pricing: Core IT $125 per user per month for complete managed IT, Secure IT $250 for the same plus a 24/7 Security Operations Center, and Cloud Complete from $175 when you host with us ($300 with the 24/7 SOC). One-year initial term, then month-to-month with 60 days' notice and no exit fees.
Priced openly, like everything else we do. Commercial manufacturers pay the plain published plan rates. Defense suppliers working toward CMMC carry a published uplift of +25% on the per-user plan and per-server management fee — on Secure IT that is $312.50 per user per month, covering the system security plan, evidence and assessment support.
