Law Firm IT Where Security and Reliability Are Non-Negotiable
A breached case file can waive privilege. A lost document can miss a filing. Either can become a malpractice claim. For a law firm, confidentiality and reliability aren't IT preferences — they're professional obligations, and we treat them that way.
Secure document handling, protection for attorney-client confidentiality, and the uptime a court calendar demands — built for firms and solo practitioners who can't afford a bad day.
From a law firm, unedited
For a law firm, security and reliability are non-negotiable. CRC Cloud has exceeded our expectations with their expertise, responsiveness, and commitment to keeping our systems secure.
Confidentiality is how we already work
You'll notice what's missing from this website: client names, vendor logos, our operations address. That discretion is deliberate — a public map of who we protect only helps attackers. It's also exactly the instinct a law firm needs in an IT partner.
We extend the same protection to your practice: matters reachable only by the people staffed on them, communication and files encrypted end to end, and intrusions caught early — so privilege stays privileged.
- Encryption of communication and case files, in transit and at rest
- Per-matter access controls, revoked cleanly when staff change
- Monitoring that catches a breach before it becomes a disclosure
Where legal IT actually hurts
A firm's exposures are specific — and each has a control that closes it:
| The risk | How we close it |
|---|---|
| A breach that waives privilege | Encryption, MFA, EDR, and least-privilege access controls keep confidential material confidential |
| A lost document and a missed filing | Encrypted, tested backups and disaster recovery mean nothing critical disappears |
| Downtime against a court deadline | 24/7 monitoring and scheduled patching keep systems standing when the calendar can't move |
| Case files on personal devices | Secure cloud document storage keeps matters in one protected place, reachable from anywhere |
| Phishing and business-email compromise | An email security gateway plus staff training cut the attacks aimed at firms that move money and secrets |
We support PCs, Macs, mobile devices, and the practice-management and document tools your firm runs.
The most dangerous breach is the one that stays quiet
An intruder reading matters for months is a privilege catastrophe long before it's an IT ticket. The averages say that's exactly how breaches behave when nobody is watching around the clock.

How our plans fit a law firm
Two plans, and a hosting decision on top of either one. Secure IT contains Core IT; Cloud Complete adds our private cloud to whichever of the two you pick — $175 on Core IT, $300 on Secure IT. Many firms choose Secure IT for the added detection and response that client confidentiality warrants.
| What you need | Core IT $125 not available under confidentiality duties |
Secure IT $250 | Cloud Complete $300 Secure IT + hosting |

Core IT is shown for comparison only. A firm handling privileged client matter data starts on Secure IT — the confidentiality and access-control expectations lean on the monitored layer it adds. We do not sell the $125 plan into a regulated environment.

The solutions law firms lean on
Three capabilities carry the most weight for a practice built on confidentiality and deadlines — and each says plainly where it sits:
Secure Document Handling
Cloud Complete
Case files in encrypted cloud storage with strict, least-privilege access control — reachable from court or home, and off personal devices entirely. Formal ethical walls and matter-level access policies come with the published legal confidentiality program.
Private Cloud →24/7 Security Operations
Secure IT
Around-the-clock detection and response so an intrusion is contained before it becomes a disclosure or a privilege problem.
Cybersecurity Services →Backup & Disaster Recovery
Published rate, by retention
Encrypted, tested backups so a lost document or ransomware hit is a recovery procedure with a known clock, measured against your filing deadlines rather than against luck.

FAQ
How do you protect attorney-client confidentiality?
Confidentiality is the whole practice, so we protect it at every layer: encryption of communication and case files in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication, endpoint detection and response on every managed device, and access controls so a matter is reachable only by the people staffed on it. The same discretion we apply to our own clients — no public list of who we protect — we extend to protecting yours.
What are the stakes if a firm's systems fail or leak?
For a law firm they're existential. A breached case file can waive privilege, a lost document can miss a filing, and either can invite a malpractice claim. That's why we build for reliability and security together: tested backup — a published add-on — so nothing is lost, monitoring so intrusions are caught early, and controls that keep confidential material confidential.
Can we securely access case files from court, home, or the road?
Yes. With secure cloud document storage and private cloud hosting, attorneys and staff reach case files from anywhere over encrypted, authenticated connections — without the exposure of consumer file-sync tools or documents scattered across personal devices. Access is controlled per matter and revoked cleanly when someone leaves.
Will an outage cause us to miss a filing deadline?
Our job is to make sure it doesn't. Systems are monitored around the clock and patched on a schedule that never interrupts your work, and tested disaster recovery keeps documents and systems available after a hardware failure, deletion, or ransomware event. Court deadlines don't move, and neither does our commitment to keeping you operational.
Do you support the practice-management and document tools we already use?
Yes. We support the mixed environment firms actually run — PCs, Macs, mobile devices, and the practice-management, document-management, and time-and-billing applications your team depends on — and can host them in our private cloud for secure, reliable access.
What does it cost and how are we billed?
Published, per-user pricing: Core IT $125 per user per month for complete managed IT, Secure IT $250 for the same plus a 24/7 Security Operations Center, and Cloud Complete from $175 ($300 with the 24/7 SOC). One-year initial term, then month-to-month with 60 days' notice and no exit fees.
Priced openly, like everything else we do. Legal confidentiality work carries a published uplift of +10% on the per-user plan and per-server management fee — documentation, evidence and audit support are real recurring hours, so we price them instead of hiding them in a quote. Secure IT is the starting point for compliance work — Core IT is not an option for a regulated environment, because the frameworks lean on the monitored layer it adds. On Secure IT that is $275 per user per month — covering ethical walls, matter-level access control and retention policy. Backup, private cloud resources and add-ons stay at their flat published rates. See the full compliance uplift table →
